About Me and This Blog
What Is This Blog?
Miles over Matter is a site about running, running your life, and other stuff, in that order.
Who are You?
Why are you writing a blog?
I like to share ideas about running and life with people who are interested in the way running enriches their lives. Not everything I write about is directly about running. Most of it is running-fueled.
Why do you run?
Running makes my world bigger. I like how I see things when I run.
What running shoes do you wear?
Several different kinds. Right now I really like Nike Free 5.0 and the Pearl Izumi N3. I'm also a fan of Brooks Pureflows. But there's no single perfect shoe.
Where do you run?
Everywhere I possibly can -- neighborhoods, bridges, trails, Everglades, sidewalks, baseball fields, tracks. Very rarely on a treadmill.
How long you been running?
I started running in September 2013.
What else do you do besides run and write a blog?
I'm a former English teacher. Having just completed law school and the bar exam, I'm beginning a new career as a defense attorney this fall. I also freelance write, cook a lot of plant-based food, love to be in the water, love to ski, love to read, and I'm an aspiring YA fiction author. You can never do too many things that you love.
What is the coolest thing ever, besides running?
The mantis shrimp is cool. And black holes are very cool. And humans connecting with each other.
But the coolest thing ever is family, whatever shape that takes.
How can I send you hate mail, questions, money, or free stuff?
