About Me and This Blog
What Is This Blog?
Miles over Matter is a blog about what I discover through running and living.
Who are You?
Why are you writing a blog?
I like to share ideas with people. When I write and share, I feel like I shed a layer. Maybe it reaches someone. Maybe they write back. It can't be a bad thing. If it is, there are worse things.
Why do you run?
Running makes my world bigger. I like how I see things when I run. It makes me feel a sense of freedom I didn't always have.
What running shoes do you wear?
I'm a fan of Pearl Izumi's discontinued line of running shoes -- the N3 in particular, for long stuff. For shorter stuff on flat ground -- Nike Free 5.0. I ran a 50-miler in these and had a ball. I wear Wiivv custom 3-d Printed insoles in every running shoe I own now. It's not even a question. These will change your run. Feel free to contact me if you have questions. I mad rep them.
Where do you run?
Roads all over South Florida. Trails when I can get out of town. I'm always looking for new places to run.
How long you been running?
I started running in September 2013.
What else do you do besides run and write a blog?
I'm a former English teacher. Having just completed law school and the bar exam, I now work as a criminal defense attorney. I also freelance write, cook a lot of plant-based food, love to be in the water, love to ski, love to read, and I'm an aspiring YA fiction author. You can never do too many things that you love.
What is the coolest thing ever, besides running?
The mantis shrimp is cool. And black holes are very cool. And humans connecting with each other.
But the coolest thing ever is family, whatever shape that takes.
How can I send you hate mail, questions, money, or free stuff?
